The Bengals had seen their pre season get off to a reasonable start, with a comfortable win over the Jets, and near miss with the Falcons. Meanwhile Green Bay had been struggling with loses to both the Chargers and the Browns.
It was a game of two quarterbacks for the first half of the game with Aaron Rodgers running it home himself for two touchdowns before Andy Dalton made a run of his own far enough downfield to get the Bengals in field goal range, to put Cincinnati on the scoreboard as well.
Cedric Benson was leading the running game for Green Bay and they continued to put up a strong game with another two field goals, ahead of the Bengals touchdown and field goal that brought the scores to 20-13.
It was a Packers interception straight into the end zone that sealed the game for them though, with only three minutes left in the game there was no come back for the Bengals, and the Packers won 27-13.
